1. What is a Cookie?

Cookies are a standard feature of most websites. They are small text files downloaded by your internet browser that enable us to gather information about your visit to a StoneShot website and personalise your experience. Cookies help us to learn which areas of a website are popular and which areas need improvement. We also use them to improve subsequent visits by, for example, remembering your preferences or part completing forms.

2. Do I have a choice?

Yes, most definitely. You have two options for controlling the use of cookies.

Firstly, as a responsible company and in compliance with legislation, the first time you visit one of our sites you will be presented with a consent screen with the option to Accept or Reject our cookies. If you accept the use of cookies, and by definition this policy, they will be downloaded to your device.

Secondly, you can tailor the privacy settings in your internet browser to accept or reject cookies based on personal preference. This is a global setting and will apply to all sites, not just those owned by StoneShot.

If you choose to reject or block our cookies, either from the consent banner or through your browser settings, your user experience will be impacted. Features dependent on cookies being present on your device may not work at all or may not work as intended.

3. Why do we use Cookies?

Cookies enable us to offer visitors to our sites a better experience. As well as providing specific functions, they enable us to gather data on the ways people interact with a site, from simple visitor numbers to the parts of the site they find most (or least) interesting. We use this information to refine our products, services and the website content itself.

4. Types of Cookie

Anonymous cookies

We collect non-identifiable information from visits to our websites to help us measure the effectiveness of our marketing and refine visitor experience. For example, we keep track of the domains from which people visit, measure visitor activity and derive geographic region from the IP address. We do so in ways that keep the information non-identifiable and do not save the full IP address.

StoneShot, or others on StoneShot’s behalf, may use this data to analyse trends and statistics and to help us provide better customer experience and service. If you do not want your transaction details used in this manner you can disable your cookies.

Personalised cookies

These cookies are not only used for tracking. On occasion, we may personalise web sites for certain visitors. For example, we may pre-populate a web form using information we hold on you. We do this to save you time online and to ensure the information we hold on you is correct. An invitation to visit one of these websites is usually presented as a personalised URL in an email, a notice on a website registration page, or as a response to you logging on to a certain website.

We may also capture and store the IP address used to access the website, microsite and the content they contain. This information is captured for audit and data analysis purposes. No effort is made to identify an individual from this information.

If you choose to visit one of these websites, you are agreeing to let StoneShot collect information about your visit, its association with other information about you and your relationship with StoneShot. If you do not wish your information to be used in this way, do not accept the invitation to visit these sites.
